HCU proudly facilitated the first Ego Nitubasa (Yes we can!) initiative in 2017. This new community-driven program begins with a Community Innovations Competition, where participating communities showcase their creativity, collaboration, and dedicationthrough an innovation that is sustainable and uses local materials to addresses a self-identified priority health issue in their area.
The competition was launched in Nyarubungo, Mbarara District. CHWs were eager to brainstorm ideas. Presentations and judging will begin early in 2018…stay tuned!
